Jeremiah Nyagah Technical Institute is a public-funded middle-level college located in Mbeere South Sub County of Embu County, 10 KM from Embu town and 2.5 KM. off Embu-Kiritiri Road. It is situated on a 38-acre land that accommodates permanent water springs which is utilized by the institute. Since inception, the Institute has been using water from Rupingazi River and Dam up to 2011 when we started receiving water from Embu Water and Sewerage Company (EWASCO).
Vision: To become a Centre of Excellence for Vocational and Technical Training.
Mission: The institute exists to train and produce knowledgeable, skilled, innovative, and responsible manpower in technical and business disciplines to meet the changing needs of industry and society.
The guiding values to which the institution will commit itself all pivot around the tenets of good governance and include:

- Teamwork and
Jeremiah Nyagah Technical Institute was started as a Self Help Basis in the year 1984 by the local community. This was made possible through the efforts of the late J.J.M.Nyagah.
The community donated the land in which the Institute is situated, as well as provided labour to construct the initial buildings. In support of the community effort, the Government of Kenya stepped in to provide the personnel(Technical) and funds for the institute’s long-term development plans. In addition to this contribution, the Government went a step further to persuade some donor agencies like:
- The European Union
- The Viwoos of Belgium
- The Japanese International Cooperation Agencies (JICA)
- The Plan International.
