Shamberere Technical Training Institute is one of the greatest Institutions in middle and Tertiary training which offers creative and innovative courses. Shamberere Technical Training Institute (STTI), located in Kakamega County, was established in 1982 as a Rural Education Programme and later elevated to a Youth Polytechnic in 1985. It was subsequently awarded a Trade Test Center in 1996, catering for boarders and day scholars. The Institute is now registered under the then Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MOEST) as one of the technical training institutes in Kenya since 2009.
The Institute has continued to grow in terms of enrollment with approximately 2400 students and state-of-the-art training infrastructure and we are proud to note that 90% of our graduates are absorbed in the job market and 10% have been successful entrepreneurs. The Institute is located next to West Kenya Sugar Company along Kakamega – Webuye road off Kambi ya Mwanza Market.
