Christian Industrial Training Centre Nairobi one
Christian Industrial Training Centre (CITC) Nairobi is a Technical Training Institute, under the Anglican Church of Kenya, Diocese of Nairobi to equip youths with vocational skills and cultivate in them a good character and attitude in order to enhance chances of securing honest livelihood. The founder members were Rev. and Mrs. Charles Tett and a prayer group.
It began as a football club that engaged the youth in productive activities that distracted them from engaging in stealing and other vices that were taking place in the neighborhood. In 1960, in consultation with the local community, the founder members set up a vocational training Institute at its present location in the Pumwani area. During inception, the Centre had only 10 students. The instructors and teachers were mainly volunteers from England, Australia, and New Zealand.
Since its inception, CITC has had a perfect track record of delivering superior and professional corporate, tailor-made, and retail educational services in various trades and engineering disciplines. Over the years it has produced over 25,000 graduates, our hallmark has been highly skilled and competent technicians positively contributing to the socio-economic development of Kenya and beyond.
