St. Elizabeth School of Nursing Mukumu is a tertiary training institution, situated along the Kisumu – Kakamega Road, eight (8) kilometers from Kakamega town. It is situated in Shidodo sub-location, Khayega location, Shinyalu Division, Shinyalu Subcounty in Kakamega County of Kenya.
The School is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega under the jurisdiction of Rt. Rev. Bishop Joseph Obanyi. The Management of the School is through the Board of Management, and day-to-day activities are overseen by the Hospital Management Team and the Tutorial team.
The hospital facility has various departments that give the learners a wide range of skills needed in any practice setting. They include outpatient clinics {Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic} Eye clinic, dental, Pediatrics, Male and Female wards, surgical wards, Amenity, and private wards, radiology, operating theaters, Central Sterile Supply Department(CSSD) and laboratory services are adequate to assist students during clinical attachment and assessments.
