About Don Bosco Boys Technical Training Center
Don Bosco Boys’ Town is a charitable educational institute founded and administered by the Salesians of Don Bosco, a religious society of catholic priests and brothers. It was registered, in 1984, started by the humble work of Rev. Fr. Sean Mc Ferran ably assisted by Br. Joseph Cherian in the year 1985 the institution grew big enough to accommodate and train around 200 students for two years. Technical Programme at the Karen Center, and another 130-day student in its Satellite centers located mostly around Slums in Kibera Line Saba, Kiserian, and the industrial area of Makuru, in the year 1989. The Institution further expanded to offer Secretarial and Computer programs for both young men and girls, in the years 1994 and 2996 respectively the institute has a boarding facility for 168 boys. The infrastructure also accommodates girls to do their studies as day scholars. The staff is very well qualified. The staff also undertake capacity-building seminars to upgrade their skills every now and then.
