About Certificate in Plant Mechanics
Plant mechanics is the art of repairing and maintaining industrial, agricultural, construction and mining machinery. A Plant Mechanic gets to maintain diagnose and repair this machinery using lots of different tools and equipment.
This Plant Mechanics Course offers you an opportunity to learn how to maintain, diagnose and repair Graders, Shovels, Backhoe, Forklifts, Dumpers, Excavators, Farm Tractors, Bulldozers, Rollers, and many other types of machinery. You will learn how to work with a wide range of tools to diagnose and repair heavy machinery. You will be trained on how to inspect, service, and repair engine boxes, gearboxes, hydraulics, electric system, and tyres.
Upon successfully completing this course, you will be able to perform the following tasks and duties.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, and test machinery.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of machinery to minimise downtime and meet maintenance schedules.
- Install new equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
