About Diploma in Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a medical profession that utilizes scientific principles of electro-physical agents, manual techniques, and therapeutic exercises to provide treatment for various systemic diseases, musculoskeletal, neurological, and organ injuries and correct deformities and disabilities. It focuses on evidence-based practice in the assessment, diagnosis, and promotion of health, prevention, and management of a wide range of disorders that restrict the normal function of an individual.
Physiotherapists are health professionals with rich knowledge in movement and function; who work in partnership with patients/clients assisting them to recover from the mentioned challenges which may be congenital, acquired through accidents or injury, or as a result of aging or life-changing events.
Career path
A student who has successfully completed the Physiotherapy Diploma course can work in the following areas:
- Public and Private Hospitals in Medical Wards, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic wards, Intensive care unit (I.C.U), Outpatient Department, Hospice, Gynaecology, and many others
- Rehabilitation centres
- Fitness club and spas
- Military (As a military paramedic)
- Community-based rehabilitation centers
- Sports arena
